ABOUT OUR GYMNASTICS CAMPS

 

Camps at Richmond Hill Gymnastics are full of fun, fitness and fundamentals. We pride ourselves in offering a safe and nurturing environment for all age groups; perfect for making new friends! Structured classes provide athletes (both beginner and advanced) with a setting where they can learn new skills and improve on old skills, while supervised free-time allows athletes the autonomy to focus on accomplishing their chosen goals. Arts & crafts offer children a time to exercise their creativity instead! All coaches are certified in First Aid as well as through the NCCP program. Please note that in response to Covid-19 and in the interest in the health and safety of our athletes and staff we will be following very strict protocols  at our facility. In addition, the number of campers in the facility will be limited to 10. 

IMPORTANT NOTES ​

All children must be at least 6 years old to participate in Summer Camp

There will be NO REFUNDS for any camp registrations. However, you may apply for a credit. See office staff. 

All camp registration costs are calculated on a 'per day' basis.  

What to bring…

Gym bag with large Ziploc or grocery bag for shoes

Come dressed for camp. Use of cubbies and change-rooms will NOT be permitted.

Personal supply of hair-ties and band-aids

A labelled water bottle (and a labelled smoothie or protein shake in a no spill container)

A large beach towel with distinguishable sides (top and bottom) 

Personal hand sanitizer

Extra clean socks 

Some notes…

The following information will help clarify procedures for keeping our athletes and staff safe. Please ensure you are educated on our policies to promote a safe and fun camp experience. 

Athletes are to be dropped off at the front door / social distance markers. No parents will be allowed in the gym. 

Athletes must wear a mask when entering the facility but may remove it when they begin to train.

Athletes and parents will be asked screening questions before athletes are permitted to enter. 

Athletes must come changed. Change-room use is not permitted. 

Athletes will sanitize hands and feet upon entering the facility. 

Outdoor shoes will be bagged upon entering the front door. Any additional clothes will be placed in their gym bags, these bags will go with them from event to event. 

Social distancing will be practiced in the facility. 

Socially distanced markers have been placed on the floor for warm-up drills and games. Athletes will be asked to bring a large beach towel to place on the floor while they are warming up and stretching. 

Athletes will work individually on drills / circuits on each event.

Athletes will have their own piece of equipment for several minutes and will sanitize their hands, feet, and equipment between event rotations.

Maximum gathering numbers will be respected in the facility. 

Athletes will have a short break to use the washrooms and have a drink.

Washroom visits will happen one at a time and all handles / taps / toilets will be sanitized between each athlete.

We are asking that no food be brought into the facility, BUT in addition to their water bottle, athletes can bring a smoothie or protein shake in their gym bag (spill proof container)

At the end of the half day, athletes will be picked up at the south door by the balance beams. 

The entire facility will be cleaned in between groups of campers.

TIME: 1:00PM - 4:00PM

At camp, athletes participate in a structured gymnastics class and have periods of supervised free time in the gym where they can work on their favorite skills, or play imaginative games with friends. A full day of gymnastics is demanding, so we break up the day with snacks, organized games, and arts and crafts. HALF DAY (AM)    9:00 - 12:15PM               FEE: $45 per day

HALF DAY (PM)    12:15 - 3:30PM                FEE: $45 per day

 
SUMMER BREAK CAMP

Summer Break Camp with the Richmond Hill Gymnastics Club includes lots of gymnastics of course! At our camp, athletes participate in a structured gymnastics class and have periods of supervised free time in the gym where they can work on their favorite skills, or play imaginative games with friends.Gymnastics is a demanding sport, so we break up the day with snacks, organized games, arts and crafts, and an afternoon outing. Sunshine and fresh air are important so three days a week we walk with the athletes for an afternoon outing at a nearby water-park (water-park outings depend on the weather).
