ABOUT RECREATIONAL GYMNASTICS

Recreational gymnasts have fun and work hard, with an ultimate goal of developing strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and gymnastics skills, all while making new friends. As a sport that is both mental and physical, gymnastics not only offers opportunities for your child to progress physically, but also mentally through increased self-esteem, confidence, and social skills.

PROGRAM OVERVIEWS

 

PARENT & TOT

Boys and girls

1-3 years old

Duration: 1 hour

Fee: $429

Our parent & tot program is the perfect introduction to the sport of gymnastics for your little one. With the help of mom or dad, and our NCCP certified coaches, children aged 1-3 can explore jumping, landing, rolling, climbing, and swinging. The sport of gymnastics is great for encouraging motor and social development.

KINDERGYM

Boys and girls

3-5 years old

Duration: 1 hour

Fee: $429

In our kindergym program, children will start learning fundamental skills such as running, jumping, climbing, swinging, rolling and locomotion. Basic skills introduced may include front and back rolls, cartwheels and handstands on the floor,  and various shape jumps on trampoline. Athletes will also begin walking and jumping on beam, swinging on the bars, and learning basic vault progressions. This program will be very beneficial for your childs motor skills, social skills, and encourages  positive self-esteem. 

 

JUNIOR GIRLS

Girls only

6-7 years old

*5 year olds accepted

Duration: 1 hour

Fee: $429

Our junior girls program continues to build upon the body positions and dominant movement patterns essential to the sport of gymnastics. Gymnasts use: vault, bars, beam, floor, trampoline, and tumble track to learn basic skills and to train strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. 

 

JUNIOR BOYS

Boys only

5.5-7.5 years old

Duration: 1 hour

Fee: $429

Our junior boys program continues to build upon the body positions and dominant movement patterns essential to the sport of gymnastics. At this age, male gymnasts begin exploring the apparatus specific to mens gymnastics. Gymnasts use: vault, high bar, floor, boys area (rings, pommel horse, parallel bars, mushroom), trampoline, and tumble track to learn basic skills and to train strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. 

 

SENIOR GIRLS

Girls only

8+ years old

Duration: 1.5 hours

Fee: $639

In our senior girls program, athletes continue to build upon the body positions and dominant movement patterns essential to the sport of gymnastics. Gymnasts use the vault, bars, beam, floor, trampoline, and tumble track to learn basic skills and to train strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. At this age, gymnasts are likely to be working on handstands, cartwheels, round-offs, walkovers, and handsprings, to name a few. Our NCCP certified coaches will always work at your child's skill level. 

 

SENIOR BOYS

Boys only

8+ years old

Duration: 1.5 hours

Fee: $639

In our senior boys program, athletes continue to build upon the body positions and dominant movement patterns essential to the sport of gymnastics. Gymnasts use the vault, high bar, floor, parallel bars, pommel horse, mushroom, rings, trampoline, and tumble track to learn basic skills and to train strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. At this age, some more advanced skills are likely to be introduced. Our NCCP certified coaches will always work at your child's skill level. 

 

TEEN GIRLS

Girls only

11+ years old

Duration: 1.5 hours

Fee: $639

In our teen girls program, athletes continue to build upon the body positions and dominant movement patterns essential to the sport of gymnastics. Gymnasts use the vault, bars, beam, floor, trampoline, and tumble track to learn basic skills and to train strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. At this age, gymnasts are likely to be working on handstands, cartwheels, round-offs, walkovers, and handsprings, to name a few. Our NCCP certified coaches will always work at your child's skill level. 

FALL AND SPRING SCHEDULE 2019 - 2020

HOLIDAYS

We do not run classes on the following days:​

  • Thanksgiving

  • Winter break / Christmas break

  • Family day

  • March break

  • Victoria day

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • What if I join late? No problem, fees will be pro-rated

  • Are there any additional fees? No, all fees include HST and Gymnastics Ontario registration fees.

  • Do you offer refunds? There are no refunds permitted once classes have started.
